Maine may not be the land of hula skirts and leis, but we’ve got a solid history with rum, largely due to our extensive coastline and proximity to Canada. It’s a history that might be viewed as both embarrassing and empowering, considering our contribution to the Triangle Trade and our formidable battles against the powerful temperance lobby. But we’re not here to judge, only to embrace and imbibe.
