Curiosity meets hunger as we enter Jing Yan. The inspiration for their take on Asian fusion lies “where our heart is, which is homestyle comfort food” exquisitely prepared by chef Chris Petrillo and his team.
We begin with Korean Fried Chicken Wings ($11) and learn that “Koreans enjoy fried chicken with beer known as chimaek: chi means chicken, and maek is from maekju, which means beer.” Bold, sweet, and spicy, the wings are seasoned with gochujang, a fermented Korean chili paste; honey; and garlic. This dish makes us thirsty: Nonesuch 2.0, a bright, citrusy IPA, is most refreshing and a perfect complement to the wings as well as the remainder of our feast.

See the full story in the digital magazine above.

[8

post-20190","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-featured
["GET
