His canvases were essays on loneliness.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lobbies are far more fun places to touch down.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I also collect antechambers, lounges, grand tiers, private nooks, vestibules, sun parlors, colonnades, everything from peristyles to parterres. They\u2019re intimate and wary, impressive and cozy\u2014great places to haunt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Perched on a pink coral wall, I loved listening to the music of the waterfall in the <\/span><strong>Hamilton Princess Hotel<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Bermuda.
