We dig a pit, line it with stones and wood, set a fire. Once the stones are hot and the fire has burned out, we add seaweed and the main ingredients, cover the pit, and wait. The day the astronauts landed on the moon, my parents\u2014Earle and Jay\u2014 and I had a small beach clambake.
