We\u2019re playing my new album, <i>Night Palace<\/i>, which is weird and dreamy and windy and also concrete.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><strong>Your material is edgy. Is music a guilty pleasure for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Seeing a close loved one die can violently reorient one\u2019s priorities and one\u2019s sense of what\u2019s worth worrying about. And yeah, there\u2019s the guilt of surviving and spending your time enjoying life, food, making art, keeping on existing, and that\u2019s weird, but it\u2019s all part of it. Loss is real and universal, but it\u2019s also a very hot fire.
