Sargent<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">A rare beauty spared from the flames of the Great Fire of 1866, this Italianate mansion reaches through the centuries to touch all who are dazzled by it. Designed in 1855 by noted architect Charles A. Alexander, it was built for merchant prince Samuel Spring.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">From Danforth, it\u2019s the left-hand member of near-twin residences. The house to the right was built for Samuel\u2019s nephew Andrew.
