Sargent<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In 1848, 21-year-old Kennebunk sailor John Adams Lord stepped off the edge of his known world. Voyaging aboard the <i>Henry Ware<\/i>, he visited New Orleans, Liverpool, Calcutta, and San Francisco. By 1852, he was back in Kennebunk, where he married Lucy Amanda Warren. Life was good.
