The high-energy footage\u2013a curated selection of short films from many adventure photographers\u2013is focused on Maine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a fantastic jury this year selecting the films we\u2019ll show\u2013Ryan Brod, who made the award-winnng ice-fishing film <em>Hardwater<\/em>; Tom Gerencer, whose <em>Foam Boater<\/em> was feature-length; and Jane Koopman\u2013she\u2019s a whitewater kayak instructor and a Sugarloaf ski patroller,\u201d says festival organizer Nick Callanan. \u201cThe films cover everything from snowboarding and skiing to runner sledding, whitewater kayaking, fly fishing, salmon fishing, mountain biking, and skydiving.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Deadline for submissions from outdoor filmmakers is August 1\u2013see <a href=\"http:\/\/maineoutdoorfilm.com\" target=\"_blank\">maineoutdoorfilm.com<\/a>.<br \/>\nAnd this is only one of the festivals out there, all over Maine, all summer long.
