For decades, Portland diners frequenting the tiny 20-seat restaurant at 111 Middle Street have been treated to notably global gastronomical tours.
The now-iconic space began its culinary journey in the 1970s, when Martin and Mary Macisso opened Marty’s Luncheonette, drawing a loyal crowd, including officers from the nearby police station.
